  1. I THINK IT WAS A VERY SAD STORY AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE A REALLY SAD STORY. KURT WAS A GOOD SINGER AND A GOOD ARTESS.

  2. I THINK KURT WAS A REALLY GOOD SINGER AND A REALLY GOOD ARTESS AND WE STILL MISS HIM AND WISH THAT HE WAS STILL ALIVE AND MAKING NEW SONGS.

  3. Tori Amos’ version SUCKS so much like rotten meat left under the sun for a month! Tori Amos SUCKS even more!!!!

  4. TORI AMOS SUCKS BALLS! SHE RUINED THAT SONG!!!!! KURT IS SCREAMING IN HEAVEN. If anyone sees Tori Amos walking on the street or something please kill her painfully and slowly. This wanabee barbie is making me want to vomit and scratch my eyeballs out.

  5. You guys suck for saying that! Tori amos rules and i think that Kurt Cobain would love this version, since he is dead now he is in the spirit world and will see things very differently!!!

  6. kurt himself didnt even like the song. he resented the fact that he had to play at every show and that it blew up so big. this coming from the documentary kurt & courtney

  7. I actually read in an interview with Cobain that he liked the song and the him and Courtney Love, “used to put it on every morning and have breakfast and dance around. We’d turn it up really loud and do interpretive dancing to it. It’s good breakfast music.”

I think the few of you insulting Amo’s version should bite your tongues and maybe do a little more research on your rock idol before you speak for him.

  8. Well said, Caitlin
and here’s the interview for those of you who dare to call yourselves fans of kurt and then wild post-homous assuptions. (yeah i’m talking to you KURTWASGOD)

MTV: What did you think of the Tori Amos cover of “Smells Like Teen Spirit”?
    Cobain: Flattering.
MTV: Is it true that you and Courtney Love used to wake up and dance around to it?
Cobain: Yeah. We used to put it on every morning and have breakfast and dance around. We’d turn it up really loud and do interpretive dancing to it. It’s good breakfast music.
MTV: It’s funny to listen to. The mulatto and albino part.
Cobain: [Singing] “I’m mulatto.” I know. [Laughs] For a while we were using it as an opener before we came out onstage, too. We would play that song and then we would come out doing dances to the song.
